School News May 8th

News May 8th,

Would $500 be a nice way to start your summer?  The Mendocino County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission is sponsoring an essay contest based on INSIDE/OUTSIDE…You Choose, A Letter from Prison, a graphic novel based on the experiences of a young man from Ukiah currently serving time in San Quentin for murder.  First Prize is $500.  If you are interested, see Mr. Moore in room 125 for a copy of the book (yours to keep whether you enter the contest or not) and an entry form.  Sorry teachers, this contest is only open to students.

There are less than 100 year books left, you can still buy your yearbook in Ms. Leach's classroom in the SEM room 101, or you can buy your yearbook in the office, or your parents can buy your yearbook online. You don't want to miss out on getting a yearbook this year. They are still only $25.

Any current 6th or 7th grade student interested in attending summer school please see your counselor for an application

Ballet Folklorico is meeting today after school in room 123. Thank you for your hard work and the beautiful performance on Friday.
