Pomolita’s Art classes need donations of your old newspapers and magazines for future art projects! Please bring just your donations to room 502. Applications for the Summer Academy at Ukiah High School are due next Tuesday, May 1st! All 8th graders should have received an electronic application in their email. If you're having trouble with the application process, talk with your counselor Writing competition submissions will be due on Friday 4/27 to Mrs. Leue in Rm.132 or by email at zleue@uusd.net 8th graders, promotion speeches are due to Mrs. Leue by Friday. Everyone, if you want to enter the 'stop school violence' writing contest, entries are also due to Mrs. Leue by Friday. You can hand her physical copies or email them to zleue@uusd.net. 8th graders will be getting an invitation/permission slip for their Promotion Party on June 1st, this week. The permission slip, $20, and T-shirt order form need to be turned in by April 30. Summer school is open to all 6th and 7th-grade students interested in attending. Classes are from 8-12 with lunch being served after classes. We will be having a lot of fun classes, Mesa, computer programming, math projects and ELA. Please see your counselors if you are interested in being a part of a fun program this summer. Testing starts next week for all students! We will have a special testing schedule just like last year. We still get out at 3:10, but there will be a testing block in the morning. Make sure you bring your Chromebook to school every day charged with your charger and headphones if you have them! Earbuds are available in the student store for a few tickets if you want your own pair. Everyone will test with their third-period class, PE classes will go into classrooms with their teacher. Yearbooks can be ordered during 7th/8th-grade lunch in the cafeteria today. Tomorrow, yearbooks can be ordered during 6th-grade lunch and 7th/8th grade lunch. Pick up an order form or turn in your order in the cafeteria today and tomorrow. Writing club meets in room 126 at lunch today.
