Daily Announcement 4/20/17

The Pomolita Writing Club invites you to join us in the library at lunch today. You can also log into our Google Classroom and look at the bulletin board in the library to read our writing.

Next week loaner Chromebooks will be reserved for students whose personal Chromebooks are broken and the 8th grade Science test. Please remember to bring your Chromebook to school every day charged!

7th graders please remember to pick up your spring pictures in the cafeteria at break or lunch. These pictures are not free. If your parents decide they would like to keep them you will need to bring the money to purchase them into the office by next week. If not you need to bring the pictures back and turn them in to the office

Mr. Weber is starting a traditional Olympic Style Taekwondo program after school. This class will meet every Monday from 4:30-5:30 in the matt room. All age groups and experience levels are welcome. Please see Mr. Weber at lunch for more details."

Next Week April 24-28th is our Spring Spirit Week and we would like to see everyone participate! Start rounding up your outfits today so you can take part everyday next week!

Monday- Twin Day
Tuesday- Nerd Day
Wednesday - Blackout Day (wear all black!)
Thursday- 80's Day
Friday- Rally Colors Day! (8th Grade is Orange, 7th is Pink, and 6th is White)

Have fun with this and remember that Dress Code still applies!

A 3v3 basketball tournament will begin next Monday. Sign-ups end this Friday. The sign-up sheet is posted in the gym hallway

Spring Pictures have come in and will be available for Pick up this week during break and lunch in the cafeteria
6th grade may pick up their pictures today
7th grade tomorrow
and 8th grade on Friday

Congratulations to Ms. Guzman in 6th grade and David Ramirez, our head custodian for being selected as our staff pride winners by the students for the month of March. They each received a subway card

Congratulations to the Pomolita Wrestlers who won first place at the Pomolita Invitational Tournamet this weekend.

Congratulations to the Science Olympiad teams for their outstanding performance at Regionals, taking second place, moving on to the State tournament and getting 13 individual medals as well. Clarice Quigley, Trix Holstine, Lindsay Giglio, Lia Xerogeanes, Thomas Thies, and Walker Raugewitz medaled once, Michael Leggett, Victor Galarza, and Luci Allende twice, and Maeve Richards three times. Good luck at States in April.

There is an Olympiad meeting in Mr. Lane's room at break for all students for lost and found items. There is an Olympiad meeting about States for the A team at lunch.

6th graders- want to know what electives you can take next year? Interested in applying to be in the Pomolita honors program? Come with your parents Tomorrow night March 7th @ 5:30 to the library for ARTICULTAION NIGHT!

8th graders starting tomorrow March 2nd you will be able to vote for your class favorites for the yearbook
